In addition to guiding students through their academic journeys, the university is also very active in helping the community live healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Institute for Population Health
The Institute for Population Health (IPH) contributes towards building a healthier population in Qatar and participates in educational and community outreach programs aimed at health promotion, disease and injury prevention.

More recently, the IPH has established the Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group – Qatar to promote the discipline of lifestyle medicine and combat the ongoing epidemic of non-communicable diseases by encouraging healthy behaviors and lifestyle measures such as healthy food, good nutrition practices, physical activity, stress management, social connectedness, sleep hygiene, and cessation of tobacco use and other risky substance abuse.
